The Waterford High School boys' basketball team, which went the first six games of the season alternating wins with losses, finally put together back-to-back wins this week over Old Saybrook and St. Bernard.
The team defeated Old Saybrook in Old Saybrook on Monday, 65-59, and came back home Tuesday to beat St. Bernard’s, 70-63. The team is now 5-3 and plays Stonington at home this Friday at 7 p.m.
Meanwhile, the girls’ basketball team is still fighting to find its way. After defeating Killingly 55-30 on December 18th, the team lost three consecutive games to Woodstock Academy, Ledyard and Glastonbury, all by more than 10 points. The team is now 2-7, as of the CIAC's last update.
