Waterford Boys Begin ECC Tournament Tonight

Meanwhile, the Waterford High School girls’ basketball team’s season is over.

Tonight, the Waterford High School boys’ basketball team plays Plainfield in the first round of the ECC tournament.

The team finished its season on Friday with a 64-45 victory over Tourtellotte. Overall, the team posted a 12-8 regular season record this year, good enough to qualify for the ECC tournament.

Tonight, the Lancers will play Plainfield in Plainfield at 6 in the first round of the tournament. While the team won the first state championship in Waterford history last year, it did not win the ECC tournament.

Meanwhile, for the very young Waterford High School girls’ team, the season is over. The team finished the season with a 4-16 record, although played many sophomores and freshmen this year that gained some valuable experience.
