The team defeated Providence Saturday, 63-59, in the last game the Huskies will play in the Big East.

Saturday, Waterford Patch went to the UConn-Providence game in Gampel Pavilion, where the Huskies defeated the Friars 63-59 in overtime.

The game was the last game for UConn in the Big East, as the conference is dissolving next year. Guard Ryan Boatright proved to be the game's hero, as he scored a game-high 23 points and made two free throws to tie the game at the end of regulation and then made a game-deciding three-point-play in overtime.
