The first day of school will now be Tuesday, Sept. 6, according to Superintendent Jerome Belair.
Staff will meet Friday, and school will begin Tuesday, after Labor Day, Belair said. A large driver was the high school still does not have power, Belair said.
School was originally set to start today.
