Hot Coffee - The Movie

The public is invited to attend a free screening of Hot Coffee – The Movie – which exposes how corporations spent millions on a propaganda campaign to distort Americans' view of lawsuits, forever changing the civil justice system. From the infamous case of the woman who sued McDonalds over spilled coffee to the saga of the Mississippi Supreme Court Justice deemed "not corporate enough" by business interests, this program challenges the conventional wisdom about "frivolous lawsuits." As part of the presentation, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) will provide attorneys from Polito & Quinn, LLC of Waterford to lead a short panel discussion following the film about how the issues raised impact the legal system here in Connecticut.  The movie and discussion will take place at the Waterford Public Library located at 49 Rope Ferry Road from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Please feel free to contact the Waterford Public Library at 860-444-5805 or Polito & Quinn, LLC at 860-447-3300 for more details.
