Waterford Resident Arrested For Felony Drug Charge

Daniel Patsiga was charged last month with felony drug possession.

South Kingstown, RI - Daniel Patsiga, 25, of 17 Westwood Drive, Waterford, was arrested at about 9:22 p.m. on Aug. 28 and charged with felony drug possession, possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and driving in possession of a controlled substance.

According to police, they received a report of an erratic driver in a green Jeep Wrangler, heading from Route 1 to Route 138. Police noted a Jeep matching the description near Lower College Road, and allegedly saw it swerving. The vehicle was clocked at 49 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone.

Police said a traffic stop was made by West Kingston Park, and a background check confirmed that Patsiga’s license was suspended. A search of the Jeep revealed a metal grinder with marijuana, and a pill believed to contain Hydrocodone, which Patsiga did not have a prescription for.
