Officer Alexander Tran and Officer Troy Gelinas are the newest police officers joining the Waterford Police force.

Thew two were sworn in at the Town of Waterford Clerk's office on Monday, July 14.

Officer Tran transferred to the Waterford Police Department from the Mashantucket Tribal Police Department, where he served for two years.

Officer Gelinas transferred from the Mohegan Tribal Police Department, where he served for one year. Prior to that, Officer Gelinas was a Connecticut State Trooper for twenty years, attaining the rank of sergeant.

good to see we have experienced officers coming to work for the town of waterford. if you look on the internet, listing the most 100 dangerous cities in the usa, new london ranks 35, so the handwriting is on the wall. hartford is ranked 36 and new haven 26. those are the facts.
