Audible "pile driving" operations will be heard from the vicinity of the AMTRAK Niantic Bridge Replacement Project construction site for approximately 30 minute durations, during daylight hours, up to approximately 6 occurances per day, until approximately the end of January, 2011.

Increased truck traffic across the Niantic River Bridge on Route 156 will occur commencing Saturday, Dec. 18, at approximately 9 p.m. through approximately 9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec.19. During this time, approximately 20 trucks per hour may be traveling to the Mago Point construction site, in Waterford.

Effort will be expended to limit the use of "jake brakes" and other noisy operations but an increase in overnight noise will most likely occur during this "major underwater concrete pour" event.
