Police Blotter: Senior Prank No Laughing Matter

The following arrest information was supplied by the Waterford Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On July 7, police arrested two recent Waterford High graduates for spray painting the school walls as part of a senior prank.

Waterford residents Michael Albaine, 19, of 14 Lincoln Rd., and Scott May, 18, of 25 Seventh Avenue, were both charged with burglary in the third degree and criminal mischief in the first degree. Albaine faces an additional charge of criminal liability and May was charged with conspiracy to commit a crime. Both were released on a promise to appear.

They weren’t the only Waterford High School seniors who found themselves in hot water after they spray painted school walls. Four students, who turned themselves in to school officials shortly after the incident in late June, were barred from participating in the Class of 2011’s graduation ceremony. Their names were not released by the school. The latest arrests resulted from a Waterford Police Department investigation that aimed to track down all the culprits.
