Accident Report: Man Run Over By His Own Lawnmower

A man using a commercial lawnmower to cut the grass on a particularly steep hill in Waterford needed medical assistance when the lawnmower he was operating rolled down the hill and onto him on Tuesday. 

Waterford Police and Fire Departments responded to the emergency call at 4 p.m. on May 28. Emergency Medical responders from the Fire Department secured the injured man and transported him to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital for additional treatment.  

Arrest Reports 

May 27

Dean Kraska, 62, of 24 Spithead Road, Waterford, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and with failure to drive in the propert lane. 

Theodore Palozie, 49, of 280 Gardner Avenue, New London, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass in the third degree.

May 28

Andrew Foley, 24, of 3 7th Avenue, Waterford, was charged with breach of peace and criminal mischief in the third degree. He was released on a promise to appear in court. 

Kathy Jennetta, 53, of 237 Old Colchester Road, Uncasville, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and with failure to drive in the proper lane.
