A World War II veteran, a Red Sox fan and a mother of 10.

Joseph Paonessa, 95, of Waterford, died on Nov. 2. Paonessa was a World War II veteran and worked as a carpenter.

Natalie (Thomas) Shelburn, 91, of Waterford, passed away on Nov. 4. Shelburn was a mother of 10 and worked at The Day Publishing Company.

Maria Silberman, 86, of Norwich, died on Nov. 2. Silberman's son Martin Silberman is from Waterford.

Armand Joseph "Mal" LaFleche, 87, of Waterford, died on Nov. 4. LaFleche worked at Pervel Industries for many years and "delighted in watching the Red Sox clinch another World Series just a few days before his death."
