Girl Scouts of Connecticut Host Annual Cookie Rally at Crystal Mall

In celebration of the start of the 2013 Girl Scout Cookie Season, Girl Scouts and their families, Girl Scout volunteers, and staff will be participating in a Cookie Rally at Crystal Mall. The rally will feature a variety of Girl Scout cookie-related activities!

During the rally and throughout the cookie season, Girl Scouts will be selling cookies for the Cookies for Heroes Gift of Caring Service Project. This program allows the public to purchase boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to be sent to service men and women around the world. It is a great way to send them a sweet taste of home!

For the first time since 1999, all boxes of Girl Scout Cookies have a new look and a new purpose: to showcase customers the Five Skills girls learn through the cookie program. These Five Skills are goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. The new boxes stay true to the organization’s heritage by using the trefoil and pictures of Girls Scouts in action. The Cookie Program is a large part of the Girl Scout experience, as it shows a girl what she can do: great things!
