Daily Five: New Jet Ski for Waterford Police

1. Today there is a chance of snow and then rain in the morning, with a high around 48, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight should be partly cloudy, with a low around 32, according to the service.

2. Tuesday night, the Waterford Board of Selectmen approved buying an $8,976 Yamaha jet ski and a $11,414 inflatable boat for the Waterford Police Department. The police department used a grant to pay for both expenditures.

The jet ski will come from Motorsports Nation and the inflatable boat will come from Defender Industries Inc, two Waterford businesses.

3. This evening at 5, the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut is holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new business in Waterford, Jimmy Marketing.

Jimmy Marketing is located at 86 Boston Post Road. The event is free and open to the public.

4. The winter is over, at least according to Sunset Ribs.
