[UPDATED] Dean's Lists: Waterford Students Make the Grade

Waterford students are excelling at colleges and universities from Maine to Carolina. Here's who made the Dean's List in the fall semester of 2013.

Students graduating from Waterford go on to attend universities and colleges across the country and, according to the latest Dean's Lists, many are doing really well. The following students were all honored for their academic performance in the fall semester of 2013.  

  • Audriana Black of Waterford has been named to the Fall 2013 Dean's List at American International College in Springfield, Mass. Black was one of more than 400 AIC students recognized for their academic achievements. Black, a Senior, is a Nursing major. Dean's List students are full-time students, with a grade point average between 3.3 and 4.0 for the semester.
  • Anna Cavalieri of Waterford has been named to the UMass Dartmouth Fall 2013 Dean's List in recognition of earning a semester grade point average of 3.2 or higher of a possible 4.0.
  • Melanie Edson of Waterford was named to the Dean's List at Saint Joseph's College of Maine for the fall semester. To be eligible for Dean's list, a student must attain an average of 3.5 or better.
  • Tyler Goddu, a Freshman in Finance from Waterford; Jerry Theiler, a Senior in Accounting from Waterford; and Brooke Tomasetti, a Senior in Marketing from Waterford, were all named to the fall semester Dean's List at Bryant University.
  • Sharon Lalonde of Quaker Hill earned High Honors and Briana VanVerdeghem of Waterford earned Honors at the University of New Hampshire for the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.
  • Kasey Mortimer, a senior majoring in French from Waterford been named to the Fall 2013 Dean's List at Hofstra University. Students who began their studies before Fall 2012 must earn at least a 3.4 grade point average to qualify. Those who entered the university after Fall 2012 must earn a grade point average of 3.5.  
  • Callyn Phillips, a freshman Marine Science major from Waterford, was among more than 1,900 students from Coastal Carolina University who made the Fall 2013 Dean's List. To qualify for the Dean's List, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average.  
  • Garrett Russ of Waterford has been named to the Fall 2013 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Russ is a International Relations major. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.
  • Beth Turley of Waterford and Molly Sayles of Quaker Hill achieved the recognition of the Dean's List at Western Connecticut State University for high-level academic performance during the Fall semester.
  • Allie Wiggins of Waterford made the President's List at the University of Bridgeport in the fall of 2013. This is the highest academic achievement, awarded to students earning a 3.7 GPA or higher. Wiggins is a sophomore, double majoring in Human Sciences and Services. 
  • Lauren Lamothe, a 2012 graduate of Waterford High School, made the Dean's List at The University of Hartford in the fall semester, 2013. Lamothe is a radiology student and also runs Division 1 Cross Country and Track for Hartford.
  • Kalie Menders, a 2012 graduate of Waterford High School, had a 4.0 at Southern Connecticut State University in their Honors college, and is also class Vice President, is in Omega Zeta Pi sorority and is a Communication Disorders major.
  • Rodney Pinkham III, a freshman at Wentworth Institute of Technology, made the Dean's List his first semester.
