15-Lot Subdivision Proposed On Rope Ferry Road

The development would be located across the street from Millstone Power Station.

An Old Lyme development company wants to turn a 17-acre lot across the street from Millstone Power Station into a 15-lot subdivision, according to plans submitted to Waterford’s Conservation Commission.

White Knight Development LLC, an Old Lyme development company, is proposing to turn 305 Rope Ferry Road and 317 Rope Ferry Road into a 15-lot subdivision. The property was previously the MacKenzie Farm property. The existing home at the property will be used in the subdivision, according to the application.

White Knight is proposing to build a small road off of Rope Ferry Road called Bay Vista Drive, with the 15 homes coming off of that. The building lots range from .3 acres to .5 acres, and the existing home on the property will be one of the 15 lots, according to the proposal.

White Knight bought the property back in the summer of 2011 for $500,000. The proposal is pending before the Conservation Commission and then, if approved, will be forwarded to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
