Family Game Night, Saturday Events at the Library, Drop-In Activities at the Children's Museum

Family Game Night

Break out the Boggle! Thursday is family game night at Waterford Borders. Try your hand at some new games the store is carrying—Split Decision, Billionaire, Rage, Word on the Street and more! Maybe you’ll find a new favorite to keep at home for all these snow days. Event begins at 6 p.m.

The beloved children’s book character Curious George is the theme of this month’s weekend children’s event! Kids of all ages are invited with their parents and caregivers to enjoy Curious George-themed crafts and activities! Event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

And if that fun-loving, cartoon monkey isn’t your thing, join friends to watch the movie, Inception, part of the library’s “Have You Missed These?” film series. The PG-13-rated film starring Leonardo DiCaprio runs from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Drop-In Activities at the Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut

Get the kids out of the house and over to the Children’s Museum in Niantic for some winter fun! In addition to other scheduled activities, the museum is offering Winter Weekend Drop-In Activities free with admission on Saturday from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. Keep those little ones occupied with some art- and science-related entertainment!
