Known statewide for their highly professional productions, WATERFORDrama has entertained audiences with such plays as The Laramie Project, Noises Off, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Crucible, and Rumors. They have also staged top quality Broadway musicals like Les Miserables, Fiddler on the Roof, Pippin, Guys and Dolls and Anything Goes. The group also produces a yearly cabaret and an entirely student run show by Lancer Theatre Productions.

“We’ll be producing four shows this year and the Lancer Theatre students will be presenting another to make it five. There isn’t another school around that does five shows a year,” explains Valle. “We do that many shows because there is an interest from the students here at Waterford. Some kids play multiple sports here and some perform in multiple shows. We’ve also started a Reader’s Theatre group this year and we hold lots of after school acting workshops. It’s a busy place.”

When asked why he chose It's Only A Play to start off the season, Valle responded, “It’s a great show! It’s very funny and even though ninety-nine percent of people have probably never heard of it, I promise they’ll enjoy it. The cast portrays quirky theatre types waiting for the reviews to come in after the opening night of a new play on Broadway. Let’s just say there are a lot of laughs.”
