Waterford Teen Receives Inaugural Young Republican Award

Waterford's Kacey Cairns receives first ever Young Republican Award.

This summer, teenager Kacey Cairns received the Waterford Republican Town Committee’s first Young Republican Award for her volunteer work on behalf of the Waterford RTC.

"Kacey is an exemplary student, great young conservative Republican, and very worthy of receiving the first Young Republican Award,” Waterford RTC Chairwoman Kathleen McCarty said.

Cairns has worked on several Republican campaigns over the years, including holding signs and making phone calls for candidates and attending several Waterford RTC meetings, according to McCarty. Cairns has also pledged to attract more young Republicans to the Waterford RTC, according to McCarty.
