Watch Out For Closed Lanes Due To Tree Trimming In Waterford

Don't forget to sign the permission slips to allow trees on your property to be cut back from power lines.

Connecticut Light & Power is trimming trees that pose a threat to power lines around Waterford this week, so keep an eye out for one-lane only traffic as cars are redirected around the trucks. Currently, they're focusing on Niantic River Road.

They can't cut trees on your property without your permission, however. You'll find permission slips on your door or mailbox in advance of the work. Please don't forget to sign the form. Trimming trees back from power lines is the best defense we have against power outages.
