Kids Voices In The Bookstore
When/Where: 5 p.m. & 7 p.m. at RJ Julia Booksellers, Madison

If You Go: All youth writers are welcome to read from their finished or work in progress including poetry, fiction & essays. Fans of local authors are welcome to come and listen! Grades 5-8 present at 5 p.m., Grades 9-12, 7p.m.

Circus Train & Big Top Show
When/Where: July 23rd & 24th at the Essex Steam Train
Cost: Admission is $25.00 per person
If You Go: Purchase advance tickets to ride the Circus Train and/or check out the Big Top Show with acrobats, puppets, petting zoo, clowns and so much more!
Fish Tales, Tugs & Sails & Rails!

If You Go: Family-friendly event with nautical theme encouraging families to learn about the sea. Enjoy book readings from numerous local authors and visit Union Station, where Amtrak’s special 40th anniversary train will be open from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. during the event! Special live music from Steve Elci & Friends, Captain Papillion, performances by Gabriele's Martial Arts Dream Team and so much more!
Waterford Farmers MarketWhen/Where: Saturday's from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m./Waterford Town Hall Parking Lot

Hands On Program
When/Where: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Florence Griswold Museum
Cost: Free with Museum admission
If You Go: Go down by the river or in Miss Florence’s garden to paint in the open air! The Museum provides painters with brushes, palette, paint, canvas, and smock! All ages/skill sets bring the creativity! Complete your day with scavenger hunts, hands-on art projects, games and a visit to the artist studio.
Crafts with Kelly – Animals On The Farm
When/Where: 2 p.m. at RJ Julia Booksellers, Madison
Cost: $5 covers materials but may be used toward purchase of a book!
