Baby Squirrels At The Waterford Animal Shelter

The adorable level is at a 10 at the Waterford-East Lyme Animal Shelter as seven baby squirrels are now occupying the outdated structure.

Be careful Waterford, as the cuteness level at the Waterford-East Lyme Animal Shelter has reached dangerous levels.

That's right, the shelter now has seven baby squirrels.

Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control Officer Robert Yuchniuk said that a tree was cut down and it killed the mother of seven baby squirrels. A woman who rescues such animals has now rescued the mother's seven children and she has them stay during the day at the Waterford-East Lyme Animal Shelter.

The seven baby squirrels eat bird seed and acorns and all the other things a regular squirrel would like, Yuchniuk said. The group likes to cuddle on top of each other, which is particularly adorable.

The squirrels will not be there long though, as they will soon be grown and released into the wild, Yuchniuk said. In the meantime, he promised to enjoy the squirrels.
