Pleasure Beach

Pleasure Beach is divided into three ownerships.

A section of Pleasure Beach is owned by the Town ofMore Waterford and consists of approximately 88 feet of waterfront, which is accessed off of New Shore Road (small parking lot available down the road).  This waterfront area is owned by three different owners. The Town of Waterford owns 88 feet, Perry Development owning approximately 50 feet and then the remainder being owned by the Pleasure Beach Association.  The Pleasure Beach Association is a private association and is not run by the Town of Waterford.  Access to their beach is from Dock Road.</p> <p>There is a port-a-potti during the beach season. No dogs or alcohol are allowed.  Lifeguards are on duty during the beach season for limited hours.</p>

Waterford Beach Park

Waterford Beach Park is the largest town-owned park in Waterford, complete with tennis and volleyball courts,More several pavilions with grills, a beach, canoe launch, playground and a summer concert area. Dogs are not allowed on the grounds from June 16th to Labor Day. The Eugene O'Neil Theater and Harkness Park are on either side of the park, off Great Neck Road. Pavilions can be reserved through the Waterford Parks and Recreation Department. During the summer, there is a charge to use the beach, with Waterford residents receiving a discount. Admission is free from Labor Day to the spring.
Kiddie's Beach

Kiddie's Beach is a small, rocky beach located off of Niantic River Road. No true parking is available at theMore park, with road parking difficult. The site can be used for fishing, a picnic table and kayak/canoe launch. The Waterford Parks and Recreation Department condemns feeding any wildlife at the beach, saying it pollutes the water and overcrowds small areas. Swimming is not allowed at this beach.
Henny Penny Convenience Store
45 Great Neck Rd, Waterford, CT 06385
Located on Great Neck Road, this Henny Penny is the perfect place to stop for snacks and drinks before heading over toMore Harkness Park or Waterford Beach. It also sells lottery tickets, car maintenance products, coffee, hot snacks and many other items. There is an ATM on site. 
Town of Waterford Ledge Light Health District

The Ledge Light Health District serves all of East Lyme, Groton, Ledyard, New London and Waterford. It is chargedMore with improving the general safety and health of the region. Duties include inspecting businesses and public services; approving plans for septic tanks and wells; lead, air quality, rabie, beach water and shellfish investigations; promoting health education and preparing for a potential biological weapon attack. The district's Waterford office is located on the bottom floor of Town Hall.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
