What's The Weather? Expect another muggy day with temperatures and humidity hitting 82 degrees, with the possibility of scattered thunderstorms. Once those storms have passed, however, the humidity should drop and bring more liveable weather for the next few days. Tuesday could be the best day of the week, sunny and dry with a high of 81 degrees and an overnight low of 63 degrees. Here's the five day forecast from Weather.com

Taxes are Due: The deadline to pay property taxes in Waterford is August 1. 


Municipal Meetings


Monday:
Planning and Zoning scheduled for July 29 has been canceled.    
Wednesday: Board of Finance canceled. The next meeting will be August 14.
Thursday: Zoning Board of Appeals meets at Waterford Town Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Monday: Meet LEGO Master Model builder Dan Steininger at Waterford Public Library on Rope Ferry Road in Waterford, who will give a presentation 6-7 p.m. Children are encouraged to bring a shoebox-sized container of legos to play along. 

Wednesday: 
Leon Russell Performs Live! at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford. Concert begins with opening acts at 5 p.m. Picnicking is encouraged and there are prizes for the best picnic. Find out more here. 

Summer concert at Waterford Beach Park featuring R&B band, Azalea Drive, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free.

East Lyme Puppet Theater Presents "Jack and the Beanstalk" August 3 at 1:30 p.m. Recommended for children 5 and up. Shows held at St. John's Church Hall, Main St. Niantic. Tickets available at Bayberries and at the performance. Recommended donations, $5 Adult, $3 Child.

Sunday: Niantic Bay Triathlon. East Lyme will once again serve as host site for the 2013 Niantic Bay Triathlon. The triathlon will be held August 4 beginning at 7:30 a.m. and features a 1/2 mile swim, 12-mile bike, and a 3.5 mile run through scenic East Lyme with water views and shaded streets.
