If Your Family Will Need Help During The Holiday Season

If you are someone, or you know of someone who will be needing some help during the Holiday Season--this post is to let you know That The Salvation Army of New London is once again very willing to help you, or your friends out.  However--we would like to let you all know that The Salvation Army had also suffered a setback in it financial situation this year because of the economic developments during this year.

It is for this reason which we announce that we can help you, but it will be on a limited format as compared to previous years.  This year we will only be taking applications for help for both Holidays during 2 days only.  Those two days will be Monday and Tuesday October 28th and 29th--9 am until 3 pm.  We are only going to be able to serve up to 500 families, (Which generally averages out to being over 1,200 people).

Another change that have to be made this year as to previous years is that we will only be doing the Thanksgiving food baskets, we will be unable to provide a Christmas food basket.  For Christmas this year--we will be able to provide for toys for all of the children who are 11 and younger of the registered families.
