October Events in Mystic benefit TBBCF

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Two events are being held in October in Mystic, CT that will benefit the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation (TBBCF).

The Pirate Invasion comes to Mystic River Park on Sunday, October 6th, from noon to 5 p.m. There will be costume contests, kids’ crafts, a battle between the Pirates and the Militia, and much more. The ransom paid for those who are kidnapped will benefit TBBCF. Also available will be $1 Donation Cards. Make a donation in memory of someone you care about, is suffering from breast cancer or who is a survivor. This $1 in their name goes to breast cancer research.

The Downtown Merchants Association of Mystic is also holding a recognition event for October, by offering $1 Donation Cards in the stores in Mystic. Shop your favorite stores during October and buy a $1 Donation Card in memory of someone you care about, who is suffering from breast cancer or who is a survivor.
