Madison Dispatchers Raising Funds for TBBCF

"We wanted to give back to the community", said Madison dispatcher, Steve Brunelle; and so began the month-long campaign to raise funds for the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation (TBBCF), a local non-profit out of New London, CT.  The Madison 911 dispatchers are selling pink shirts during October as part of an effort to raise awareness of breast cancer. The pink shirts, which carry the 911 logo are being sold for $20 each. Come on by to the Communications Department at the Madison Police Department to purchase your shirt.

TBBCF gives 100% of gross fundraising dollars directly to breast cancer research, and in seven years, has raised $2.4 million and provided grants to 24 research scientists. With donations this year and the fundraising efforts of over 300 walkers this past weekend at the TBBCF Walk Across Southeastern CT, they hope to provide 3-4 additional grants.
