Chow Down For Charity—Enter A Monster Breakfast Sandwich Eating Contest
Giuliano's Bakery on Main Street Niantic will hold a monster breakfast sandwich eating contest as part of Celebrate East Lyme today at 5 p.m. There's a $500 cash prize and all it costs to enter is a donation of any amount to St. Jude's Hospital.

Giuliano's Bakery will have a monster breakfast sandwich eating contest as part of Celebrate East Lyme in front of the bakery on Main Street in Niantic today at 5 p.m.
The challenge is to eat as many breakfast sandwiches as possible in 20 minutes. If you're planning to try it, bring your appetite! The monster egg sandwich contains two eggs, steak, four slices of bacon, one slice of Canadian bacon, one sausage patty and two slices of cheese in a fresh baked bun.
Sounds delicious, in moderation, but there's nothing moderate about this contest. Last year's winner ate four sandwiches and one bite.
The winner will walk away with the glory and $500! There will be cash prizes for the second and third place. Originally the bakery had set an entrance fee of $20 but that's no longer the case. The entry fee is a donation of any amount to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. All proceeds will benefit the charity.
