The Waterford High School boys’ basketball team's season rolled along this week, with a loss at Windham at home and road victory at Killingly.
The team was crushed by Windham at home on Thursday, 83-46, which is just the team’s second home loss of the year and its second loss to Windham. The Lancers responded though with a 53-48 road victory over Killingly Tuesday to improve their record to 9-5.
The Waterford High School girls’ team meanwhile ended a miserable stretch with a great week. On Thursday, the team ended an eight-game losing streak with a 45-40 victory over Windham. The team followed that up with a 61-32 victory over Killingly on Tuesday to bring the squad’s record to 4-12.
