The Waterford High School boys basketball team plays tonight at home against Valley Regional in the quarterfinals of the Class M State Championship.

Waterford, 21-1, is ranked second in Class M. They take on Valley Regional, 18-4, the seventh-rated team in Class M.

, losing just one regular season game. They lost in the ECC Tournament semifinals to sixth-seeded Ledyard, according to The Bulletin.

In the Class M Tournament, Waterford has already defeated Ansonia, 62-45, and Bloomfield, 73-65. If they win tonight, they will play the winner of the Kaynor Tech (20-2)-Notre Dame-Farfield game (18-4) on Wednesday. The final game is Friday in the Mohegan Sun Arena.
