IF HE POSTED THIS ON LINE THE DAY BEFORE WHO CHECKS THESE THINGS OUT NO ONE REPORTED THIS?

Unfortunate. Times have changed, and not for the better. Back in the seventies, half the boys at Waterford High wore bowie knives with 6 inch blades hanging off their belts. No one was distraught or threatening. They just had them as a useful tool or a cool accessory.

@Mario I don't know any details about this story, but I would assume that someone did report this and he was caught before any harm was done. Why is it that the first impulse of so many of us is to start looking to blame someone beyond the perpetrator?

This was not posted on Facebook. It was on a smaller website on which much fewer people would have seen it. The post was reported immediately the morning after.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Thibeau family.

When they shut the door on God and Prayer coming into schools, Guns and Weapons are going to move in. Evil moves in where God is not present. Why can't the so called "Smart People" figure this out. As for back in the Seventies when God was allowed into schools. One Nation Under God.

Killing in the name of god has a higher body count then any gun...

Dear Big Bubba Short Draws, Please take your views somewhere else. It seems like you are uneducated in this situation and only know the little bit that you just read.

Funny how some people see the word "God" and get so offended. These are the same people who get offended when someone says " Merry Christmas" within earshot of them, yet have Christmas trees in their homes and exchange gifts.

Everyone including the media is so immature. You are making a big deal about NOTHING! I personally know CJ (His name is Craig but he doesn't like it so everyone calls him CJ). He is an amazing actor, friend, and singer. What the media doesn't tell us is that CJ is depressed and there is something wrong with him in his head. He needs help not cruelty. He brought the knife so he could cut himself. CJ is hurting badly. He needs love not hate. There is something wrong in his head and none of you people seem to care about that. All you want to do is punish a kid who needs help. You people sick and terrible and should be ashamed of yourselves. I'll stand by CJ even when you don't!!

alice, it is about something, actually a someone. stories/reports in the news media/media outlets only share what they seem to find important a lot of the time failing, or not able, to share the whole, the truth behind the story people hear and read and then leads to an assumption. it appears you're a good friend, and you're letting people know that mental health issues need to be dealt with properly. jsyk, people that are cruel are either usually the ones with the dirtiest back yards or the ones that pretend they don't have a backyard.

Alice, Thanks for writing. I do not know CJ more than casually, but my kids do, and my heart ached when I read the article and then it ached more when I read the negative responses to that article. Hurting humans need help to keep themselves and other people safe. My thoughts and prayers still go to the family. I hope CJ feels better soon.

pain is a silent killer, unseen, unheard and unknown to many who know not the cure. when pain is exposed, in form or in action, it is easily misunderstood and mis-represented as a threat to others. the policing of children has gone terribly wrong in this community, as well as across the nation. the era of 'right think' is upon us, devoid of compassion, and it will spare no one that dares think otherwise. are the 'drovers' setting the hot brand of criminality into one child's life for 'carrying' a piece of steel upon their person? this is no school nor is it a community any more!!! and one wonders why a few of them sidle sideways against the walls of the hallways, in fear of others who deem them defective or 'not right' in their thoughts? no, this is no community, nor is it a place for the beginnings of change, but a failure in whole, by many toward a dark and dim stagnation of moral void. is the quest for financial accountability superceding the basic morality of children? i dare any to respond to the charges of 'complicity by inaction' if this was the case with CJ! may the consequences of your inactions follow you until your own death! /sarcasm on/(forgive me, i'm having an episode!)/sarcasm off/

None of this would be as big a deal if school saftey weren't a political debate at the current time. The "threat" wasn't against the student body, and there are countless people in the world who carry knives on their person. In all honesty, politics and "saftey" are going to be put above any thought of a students well being. There is more damage being done here than any good.
