Waterford Cancels School Friday

Waterford will cancel school again because of Superstorm Sandy.

Waterford has announced it will cancel school Friday, Nov. 2, meaning the district will miss the entire week because of Superstorm Sandy.

Superintendent Jerome Belair said Great Neck Elementary School still does not have power and there are still lines down on the road, so it would be tough for buses to navigate the streets.

School will resume Monday. There is no school Tuesday, Nov. 6, because of the elections.
