Waterford has cancelled school Wednesday, the third day in a row that was cancelled because of Tropical Storm Sandy.
Although the water has receded and the weather has cleared up, more than 75 percent of Waterford homes are without power. The town has said it is actively working to clear the streets first of trees and downed power lines and then CL&P will begin to restore power to the area.
However, all 12-month employees of the school district should report to work.
