VIDEO: Basket Bonanza A Success

Principal Jim Sachs Takes A Pie In The Face For The PTO

Friday night, the Clark Lane Middle School PTO held their annual basket bonanza, and again had another huge turnout.

“It is a great event,” PTO member said. “And I think the kids really like it.”

At the basket bonanza, groups and businesses donate baskets or prizes to be raffled off. This year, the most popular prizes were four Kindles and a five-pound chocolate bar.

Principal Jim Sachs also allowed students to tape him to a wall, for $1 per piece of tape. And then one student who won a raffle was allowed to smash him in the face with a whip cream pie.

Last year, the event raised about $7,000, Shinault said. That money goes to the students at Clark Lane, she said.
