Waterford's public schools have been delayed 90 minutes, according to a message by Superintendent Jerome Belair.
Here is the forecast for the rest of the day from the National Weather Service:
Today: Periods of rain and sleet, becoming all rain after 1pm. High near 41. East wind between 11 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime sleet accumulation of around an inch possible.
Tonight: Showers, mainly before 1am. Low around 34. Windy, with a north wind 8 to 11 mph increasing to between 23 and 26 mph. Winds could gust as high as 46 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
