Hugs All Around As Waterford Class Of 2013 Graduates

Waterford Class of 2013, as retiring High School Principal Don Macrino noted in his final fond farewell last night, is the 54th class to graduate but it will always have the distinction of being "the last to leave the old school and the first to graduate from the new."

Last night's graduation ceremony featured speeches by First Selectman Dan Steward, Junior Class President Kirsten Hanner who delivered a farewell to seniors, a Salutatorian Address from Ryan Kohl, a Valedictorian Address from Gabriel Morosky who urged his classmates to be "humble," and heartfelt remarks from Macrino, who was saying goodbye for the very last time.  

Class President Michael Spanos introduced School Superintendent Jerome Belair, who did the final honors in presenting the class of 2013. And though the storm clouds threatened, when all was said and done, the newly-minted graduates walked off into the sunset to the Star Wars theme.
