Board of Education Policy Committee Will Consider Naming School Property After People
The School Building Committee meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday but the Policy Committee meeting that many people have their eye on will be held as planned at 5:30 p.m. tonight at Waterford Town Hall.
Normally, a Board of Education Policy Committee meeting wouldn't pack a room but this evening's might. A group of people who have been lobbying for years to try to persuade the Board of Education to change its currently policy of not naming school property after people have finally convinced the Committee to put the item on the agenda.
If you've got an opinion on the topic, now would be a good time to voice it. The Board of Education Policy Committee meeting will be held on the Second Floor of Waterford Town Hall at 5:30 p.m.
In other news, the School Building Committee meeting originally scheduled for today has been changed to a special meeting on Thursday, August 22.
