Romney may not be “Cool” but.....

Mitt Romney's and Obama's Character

The recent “scandal” regarding the video of Mitt speaking to donors about entitlements and taxes will show both Romney’s and Obama’s character.

A lot has been said about Mitt Romney not having “Personality”. He isn’t the greatest at giving speeches. He even seems uneasy at speaking in front of crowds. But he’s got character!

President Obama is one of the best speakers I have ever listened too. Ranks there with Bill Clinton, JFK and Ronald Reagan. He knows how to move a crowd and incite excitement.

Mitt isn’t the “Cool” one. That’s President Obama! He’s Cool.

The cool ones surround themselves with famous people. You go golfing with them or go on their T.V. shows and sing rap. You can sing songs and actually sing them pretty well. You brag about smoking weed and doing a little blow in college. You eat dog when you are a kid. You even write books about your accomplishments in these areas.

When you are a great speaker, or the cool one, you can say just about anything you want and the people will follow you. You’re the Pied Piper! “Follow Me to the Promised Land and I will feed you and house you and take care of you”. Well we all know the fairytale and how it ended.

This may a bit dramatic in comparing Obama to the fable, but the storyline is the same.
Obama has been making promises he has not kept. He will lead you to the “Promised Land”.

I don’t know if Romney did any of these things in college or early in life and quite frankly, I don’t care. I don’t care that Obama did. Bragging about it shows your character though.

In regards to that video, Mitt spoke the truth and Obama will be vindictive in response. Except, Obama will leave the vindictiveness to his cronies, his czars, who will lead and feed the Pied Piper’s followers with distortions and lies. The truth hurts.  Mitt will answer personally and stand by what he said. He has already.

Even the media will make sure Obama carry's out his vindictiveness. They can hear the Pied Piper Piping!!

Where have they been on reporting about the death of one of our Ambassadors in Libya? They blame it on a video, yet there were warnings 48 hours before. Didn’t see that on NBC, MSNBC, CNN etc. Jay Carney didn’t report it but he’s not even close to being cool. Maybe it’s Bush’s fault. I think Obama was getting ready for Letterman that day or in Vegas..Pretty Cool!! Huh?

Aside from being cool and a great speaker, Obama has built a “Family” of czars to make sure his agenda is carried out. A “Chicago Family” I might add. If elected for another term, there will be nothing to stop him.

But he’s cool! And while he is campaigning, golfing, or appearing on David Letterman. Singing at some dinner for P Diddy (or whatever he call’s himself these days) or at George Clooney’s discussing an upcoming movie about the bin laden killing, his Czars are busy at work. And the media will be so far up his...well you get the idea.

No, Mitt may not be “Cool”, or a  “Great Speaker”, but he has character.

I would guess that our “Founding Fathers”, like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and John Adams weren’t really cool the way Obama is cool. But then maybe they were,
but I can’t picture George singing “My Bonnie” to crowds at Mt. Vernon, or Benjamin bogarting that joint! They all had character.

I read that Thomas Jefferson was a terrible speaker. Kennedy was cool and a good President. He was born into a rich family, so I don’t get the problem with Romney being rich, except that the Kennedy’s made their money in questionable ways. I heard his father bought the election? JFK had a little fidelity problem there too.  Teddy wasn’t cool! Someone died when he was driving drunk. Not Cool!!!

Reagan was really cool!!

I think Bush was cool..he went right after those terrorists, no matter the cost. He also let’s the “Blame Game” just roll off his back.. he knows the truth and that’s all that matters to him. That’s Cool! The Democrats made an issue of his DUI in college. Obama smokes weed and does blow and people praise him!

Clinton was cool and we all know what he did. We have the dress to prove it!

It’s a shame that so many people will vote on November 6th based on whoever they think are cool, or will give them free things for the rest of their life. We need character back in the White House and soon.

Imagine four more years of Obama....that’s not cool. If he loses can you imagine the damage he will do in his last two months as President.. that’s not cool.

In the meantime...Gas is higher, unemployment is higher, my investments are worth less ,we are $16 trillion in debt and our military men are getting killed all over and they are not allowed to have ammo in their guns to defend an American Ambassador.

Even Barney Fife had a bullet in his pocket!!

Jane, honestly. Everything coming out of the House that the Republicans have put forth in the last two years has been squashed by Harry Reid. If you'll notice, even the "blackman" switched his blame terminology from "the Republican in Congress" to the "Do-nothing Congress after the mid-term elections. Both parties are equally responsible for not governing and wasting time. Anyone who doesn't see that is blinded by party loyalty.

Maria;
As a guy who wore a uniform, I am proud to say that I volunteered to serve this great nation. Every man and women who served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and countless other theaters volunteered. This means that we accepted the chance that we would be put "in harm's way" if so ordered. That is the nature of the job and the nature of the oath. In the light of the Benghazi assault and the flow of information that indicates that the attacks were clearly planned and executed by terrorists AND that this information surely made it to the Morning Intelligence briefing, I would be very careful about pointing fingers at presidents and what they knew and should have shared.

Your quote is actually culled from an opinion piece from the Daily Oklahoman of December 9, 1951 and is commonly wrongy credited to either Benjamin Franklin or Alexis de Tocqueville.

Obama is the consummate "opportunist." He has had influential people paving his way every step since getting into the elite Punahou school in Honolulu. His grades obviously didn't get him into Occidental, Columbia or Harvard Law, since he freely admits to skipping classes in high school, using drugs and drinking as a teen, and keeps all his papers, transcripts etc. a huge SECRET!
Being a "community organizer" is obviously the worst 'preparation' for being POTUS! Most Americans voting for "the One" in 2008 did so for guilt, racial or other "identity politics" or emotional reasons--falling for the "Hope and Change" balderdash and being totally scammed by the deceptive rhetoric. It is not only in the presidential voting, but sadly, probably half the voters (or more) are quite uninformed on the candidates and their positions on the issues and economic matters. They vote as if they are voting for "American Idol"! Thus we are stuck with incompetent 'career politicians'! Romney is a stellar successful executive, and has already proved himself to be more presidential than Obama in the debates. Obama has also proven himself to be totally a failure on the Economy and a disaster in foreign relations--especially for Israel, and for those like Amb. Chris Stevens whom he callously SACRIFICED along with 3 other Americans!! Romney is going to put an end to Obama's political career on Nov. 6th!

Yor right Maria I hope to out live my Social Security and medicare so people like you can complain because lots of people will not collect any of their money they put into the system and if it was ME i would be sitting on my congressmans(womans) door step. Why do you think one of Obama's tax cut was the 2% on Social Security??? I know why.
REVMAN October 27, 2012 at 09:09 pm
Yes Maria I guss I am doing pretty good because I work my A-- off and saved with a 401k an savings plan, and US treasuries and people who do not will work untill they die.

"American Idol voters", right on the botton my friend. And once this election is over those career politians, mostly the party leaders we don't hear about, will go back to the same old stuff................lies,scare tatatics, and getting nothing done. We derserve to get what we voted for and unfortunately the middle class will pay the price.
Question: Who will pay when the middle class is gone?
REVMAN October 27, 2012 at 09:17 pm
Say what byou want about Geo. Bush but we will miss him December 31st. The biggest tax increase will be on the poor and middle class when the Bush tax cuts expire:
The 10% bracket would go to 15% a 33.3% tax increase The 15% bracket would go to 28% a 46% tax increase The 25% bracket would go to 31% a 19% tax increase The 33% bracket would go to 36% a 8.3% tax increase The 35% bracket would go to 39.6% a 11.61% tax increase For those of you who don't understand tax brackets this means no matter how much you make your taxes will go up.

Pick the winner over the loser every time. Vote for Romney.
Steve Bristol October 28, 2012 at 01:37 am
The point about the 47% was that people who are not paying income taxes would not be likely to be really excited about a reduction in everyone's tax rates. People care most about what directly affects them.
Period.

Romney ain't cool when he wears those ladies jeans when he tries to look all middle class.
cirrus October 28, 2012 at 03:16 pm
Remember Rick, he will most likely take away all your socialist money that I pay in taxes. What will you do when he very quickly stops your checks?
cirrus October 28, 2012 at 03:19 pm
After all you are the 47% of losers who take handouts. Remember his speech? You will lose. And then you will whine and cry like a baby that you are. Oh, I'm sorry. I should not call names. So, you will sink. I apologize For the comment. All the above comments are so polite I got confused. Oh wait a second maybe Mr. Romney has flip-flopped so much unconfused by him. In any case, what will you do when they cut your socialist income that we all above pay so you can have your Nice cushy lifestyle. Get ready, I can't wait if he wins and you lose. Then we can have a real conversation because you will be in poverty like you cannot imagine.
cirrus October 28, 2012 at 03:29 pm
Concerning one of the posters above saying that Obama will destroy our republic,
Have you read history? "An in balance between rich and poor is the oldest and most fatal elements of all republics". Plutarch. 100 AD
cirrus October 28, 2012 at 04:16 pm
I've been reading the authors comments and posts for a while now. Back. He accepts a lot of help from the government. He hates it that other people accept help from the government. He rails against abortion. He railed against any kind of help to anybody and is very dismissive about other Benefits that others might actually really need. I wonder, is the authors "disability", physical or emotional. Judging from the hate, vitriol, hidden racism, I suspect the latter. After all these words of hate one must wonder where it comes from. He is not a Christian because I had never seen anything like this in Christian writing. So what is it that makes this man right so hateful ?
Michael Mercier October 28, 2012 at 04:17 pm
5 Reasons why I will vote for Mitt:
1. Romney is a very succesful business man. Obozo cant run a lemonaid stand. 2. Romney is not egotistical like Obozo. 3. Romney respects the military. Obozo has contempt for the American military and its heros. 4. Romney believes in America's greatness. Obozo believes we are aggressors and takes regular apology tours 5. Romney may have faults (Flipflopping comes to mind), but he is not a Socialist!!!

William October 28, 2012 at 10:39 pm
Do you even know what Socialism is? Romney's business was putting other businesses out of business. If you think Romney isn't egotistical then you obviously have not listened to him enough.
At what point has Obama ever shown contempt for our military other than maybe for the way it has been used and abused. If I am not mistaken it was the Republican controlled house and 40 republicans that blocked a jobs bill for veterans. Romney has also said that he would have staid in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as go into Libya though like you stated in number 5 he has flip flopped on those multiple times. Isn't it great when someone flip flops on something that puts peoples lives in danger. How many times do people have to show you how you are completely wrong about number 4? http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/oct/17/mitt-romney/mitt-romney-says-barack-obama-began/
William October 28, 2012 at 10:40 pm
I don't know how anyone can actually vote for Romney because nobody has any idea what he plans to do once in office. He has taken every side in every issue. The problem is that you think he is just saying what the other side wants to hear so he can get in office and once in he will actually do the things he promised you to do.
I have nothing against Republicans. I myself am socially liberal and fiscally conservative. The problem is is that there isn't one politician that is fiscally conservative. They are just spend the money in different places. So if I have to choose between spending all the tax money on building more war machines that we don't need or spending all the tax money on repairing our infulstructure and helping out people that are down then I am going to go with helping people. We have the largest military in the world. Larger than the next 14 countries combined. And most of those 14 countries are our allies. We can destroy the world ten times over if we wanted to. Why do we need to do it even more?
REVMAN October 28, 2012 at 11:06 pm
Mac I hope so I know I can't go another 4 years of these high prices and just wait until Obamacare kicks in and he does away with the Bush tax cuts, also for the middle class worker NOT putting 2% of their Social Security it will cost them thousands of $$ when they retire.
R Eleveld October 28, 2012 at 11:18 pm
William in all honesty can you say you voted for Obama, (if you did) because he had a great platform, all fleshed out and defined? Nope!
You can't say that because his platform was "hope and change", kinda a nebulous cloud platform. I complained at the time to some Democrats that are knowledgeable and they also could not answer. Obama was an attractive candidate and I am not referring to looks, however he did not offer specifics. So now we have a choice between a President that has a poor record or a candidate with a proven business track record. I will take my chances with Romney. You did it with Obama and it did not turn out to well. Time for hope and change.... I heard that somewhere else? Yes, 4 years ago.
Jim Aspen October 29, 2012 at 03:21 am
Romney would bring Bi Partisanship, something we have not seen in years.
James Bond October 29, 2012 at 01:33 pm
Bi-Partisanship? Are you NOT paying attention to Washington and our state. Bi-Partisanship is not part of either party's plan, but they'll lie and tell you they will "reach across the asile".The part they don't say is when they reach across it's to slap the face of the other party. The anti-bullying laws in this state should apply to these idiots. Romney is not going work with democracts and vice versa. We're going to vote for the wrong people again..............sad.
