How Many Lies Does it Take to Get to the Truth?

An opinion of the Libyan Scandal and the attempt of the White House to cover it up

Is there anyone with any kind of intelligence that actually believed then and stills believes that the attack in Libya was random? The attack that killed Ambassador Stevens and three others including two U.S. security men was all a retaliation for a video that had been on the Internet since July? That on September 11th, 2012, the 11th anniversary of the worst attack on american soil, a random group of angry protesters were able to easily navigate their way through a building and then another building that was to be a safe haven and find the Ambassador? Did you believe?

If you did or still do, you should not be allowed to vote! But too many died for that right. Even for the stupid. (And the dead if your a democrat! But I digress).

If it had happened any other day of the year, I might tend to believe it at first. But like in 2001, as you were watching a live broadcast of the second plane hit the tower, you knew right then this was no accident. We all knew. Mitt knew and he got blasted by the media and the White House.

Too many people want to really believe that President Obama has it all under control and that we are all safe. Hell, he has been killing all the bad guys, Right? The news channels funnel the White House B.S. to those who want to believe that “Brian Williams, Chris Matthews or MSNBC would ever lie to me”. Idiots!

Well if it has taken two weeks for this administration to realize that this was a planned attack, then it's not the American people who are stupid.

You've heard the jokes, “You know how to tell if a politician is lying?” Well there have been a lot of lips moving the past two weeks. Susan Rice, Jay Carney, Hillary Clinton, Barrack Obama. That's 8 lips. 4 pair to begin with. Lying! It doesn't stop there, there are too many others to count.

Now if it wasn't bad enough that they are lying, you got the arrogance, the audacity, the just flat out lack of respect by President Obama has for those who died. He saw fit to campaign. To make sure he got to Vegas, show up on the old, tired and time to put out to pasture, Letterman show and of course he had to visit his favorite cackling flock of frustrated old hens on “The View”!  Looking for that women's vote. Hey, let's not forget the interview with "Pimp with a Limp". That had to be riveting!! NO..President Barrack Hussein Obama is too narcissistic to realize that actually acting presidential may be a positive.

Now will the journal of a murdered man help enlighten us as to what our great foreign policy president really knew in advance. Or did he know anything? If he had only been attending those intel meetings. Like that would have mattered to this Commander In Chief. Now all of a sudden he has attended all of them this week. Wow! I'm impressed!

They arrested the man who made the video. A man who exercised his freedom of speech. Gotta make it look good. But....It seems that he was violating his probation by being on the internet and using an assumed name. So he is charged with that. Now there is one dumb American!  Maybe Obama has a spot in his administration for him. “Chief Scapegoat”. Oh yeah, that's Bush's assigned title.

So now the cover up begins. More lies will be spewed before we get to the truth, if ever.

So like slain border agent Brian Terry, the memories of Ambassador John Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith and the two guards will become collateral damage from the onslaught of the White House rhetoric. I would have liked to mention the names of the two guards, but have been unable to find any official release. Why? If anyone knows please post them.

So it all boils down to the White House administration's handling of foreign policy. "The American people can't handle the truth" and "The liberals can't tell it".

How many lies does it take to get to the truth?

Better get your calculator out!

George, I'm certainly not going to defend the actions of the previous administration in the middle east. I'm not a partisan. My point is that Obama's strategy of bowing before the Arab world is not working and I think it's fairly clear the economic policies of his administration are failing here at home as well. Instead of continuing the blame of the Bush administration, can we concentrate on the future instead?

"America is tired of war and tired of the Republicans using
every little Bump to cry FOUL. We're on an upward plane and we're staying right where we are till after the election. We're going to retain the Senate and take back the Congress. Then we will have gotten our country back. Is it clear YET that we reject a country run by the 1%?"
The Best Patriot September 28, 2012 at 02:28 pm
Let me get this straight, in the summer of 2001 Bush and Cheney ignore repeated warnings that Al-Queda is planning an attack on US soil. 3000 people die in the subsequent attack, but Bush and Co. could not have predicted the attacks.. Yet in 2012, Obama is responsible for an attack that occurred in Libya on a US Ambassador who traveled and mixed with the locals.
The gall of these GOP two-faced operatives is just appalling.

"America is tired of war and tired of the Republicans using every little Bump to cry FOUL."
The "little Bumps" he was referring to was the murder of our ambassador and three other Americans. The statement is crass and cold. "we reject a country run by the 1%" Really? The strict definition of the 1% are everyone making over $313K, like Obama and generally refers to millionaires and billionaires like Obama, most of the Democratic members of Congress, Oprah and everyone else in front of the camera in left-leaning Hollywood, George Soros, the ladies on "The View", David Axelrod, the White House press corps.... Please, Republicans in government are 1%'ers, too, but don't kid yourselves into thinking the Democrats are just "regular folk"

I'm not getting into what transpired under the B/C years. No one could have pointed a finger on a certain day to a certain point and say something will happen. Intell. just isn't that sharp, then nor now. But what I will point out is how does one open a foreign office, anywhere, without internal protection. Every foreign office, embassy, etc. is guarded by US Marines. Why no Marines in Libya? Embassy's and the like are sourveign soil of the visiting country. The ambassador was not out traveling, he was in his office. Verified press reports indicate local police/military guarding the outer walls ran away, not wanting to confront it's people.
Oh by the way, the US just gave Egypt 1.3 plus billion in military aid, and you know what they are buying - 2 German made subs capable of launching missiles. And the new leader of Egypt tells the world we are not his friends. Has called for the downfall of Isreal. Egypt will be just like Iran. But we will still give them the money. We have to stop trying to buy friends. It didn't work in Afghanistan when we backed the Mujahideen now known as the Tailban, and all those weapins were turned on us.
George September 28, 2012 at 03:02 pm
If that's your position, please provide some specific examples of:
Obama "bowing before the Arab world" Economic policies failing (a comparative review of where we were on Jan 20 2009 vs, today) Those specifics might give your sweeping proclamations some credence. Thanks.
Fred September 28, 2012 at 03:14 pm
Dear George
Did Harry and Nancy and most other Dems vote to send them there, yes they did. Did Hillary, Madeline Albright and Howard Dean say there were WMD’s, yes they did. So basically your statement holds no water to the subject at hand.

Pem McNerny it is appalling that you would allow this on the Madison Patch site. This character "Rick Lowe" is a racist right wing operative that shows poorly for your job as editor.
Robert Bracer September 28, 2012 at 03:39 pm
Rick I read that you have retired "from a career of 35 years" but now you suck off the government teet, kind of hipocritical, but not suprising. "I have 2 children at home who are 11 and 12 and attend middle school and 3 grandchildren", so which one of your kids got knocked up so young? Lots of room in that trailer now? It's no wonder the Republican party is in so much trouble. Sheesh.
Robin Hood September 28, 2012 at 03:41 pm
Exactly, freedom gives Rick the right to write this crap, but he really is lost in rhetoric.

GW & Cheney got us in so deep what is it exactly you expect Obama to do??
magic wand?? your logic would be like blaming the cop,tow truck and ambulance for the car wreck your family was in and just let the drunk that caused it go free all of this is due to Cheney and Gw's greed along with the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 Obama is just not getting us out of it as fast as he should, his plan of bail outs was in error,I believe your logic is flawed and suited to guard your ego for backing Bush's failed policies while they were happening even though those like myself pointed them out as being failures and bad management you all said we were just non patriotic for pointing out GW let bin Laden go to invade Iraq and didn't understand that giving all the money to the rich was a good thing we said this would be a disaster causing 2 Viet Nams at once and both would fail and all you right wingers said shut up as you cried you supported the troops not us, when we wanted them safe and home, not used for personal gains or to settle old scores CONTINUED....
Robin Hood September 28, 2012 at 03:45 pm
.....as fuel hit $4 gallon and electricity and everything went up in price and we cried woooah the economy is crashing Gw went on tv as did McCain and said "the economy is strong"
just so their rich friends could continue their reap they rode it like a dead horse right up to Jan as GW left office in disgrace, as that week he began muttering "mistakes were made" no sheet sherlock now you can't admit you were beyond terribly wrong and brainwashed so in your convoluted minds you blame all of this on Obama???? it is you and those like you in denial that are what is wrong with this country and keep her from healing have a nice day
Robin Hood September 28, 2012 at 03:49 pm
You people are either on or need drugs.
A giant crowd with weapons would have been stopped if only the Embassy had a few more hand guns? a machine gun? Outside of a complete regiment which no embassy ever has nothing would have been able to stop this attack. Try some reality, use some logic.

Mike, Rick didn't make any racist comments in his article, so why would you say he's racist?
Bill September 28, 2012 at 04:32 pm
So robin and 20, you claim that Bush and Cheney were responsible for 911, and somehow that makes Obama innocent in the Libyan screw up? How's that work? The question is, what did he know and when did he know it. Why try to blame some cheap movie for a week when you knew it was a terrorist attack that had nothing to do with the movie? Was it to cover up amateurish foreign policy blundering that allowed the attack to happen? Or did they see it coming and deliberately did nothing?
Robert Bracer September 28, 2012 at 04:59 pm
please that's all the FOX news right has? There is no laws in that part of Lybia. Its all over Hannity and Rush. Why not right about the fake poll numbers. Bah, bah, bah, bah. It was an ambassador that knew not to be there and was trying his best.
Andrew Ziemba September 28, 2012 at 06:02 pm
Obama has continued ALMOST ALL of Bush's failed policies both foreign and domestic. Bush was a terrible, traitorous president who belongs in jail... but anyone who defends Obama is even worse. Obama has done HORRIBLE things and has NOT been held accountable. It is absolutely disgraceful how he has trampled all over the constitution and done as he pleases. This was a lesson that he learned from Bush, and others before him. They continue to push it and push it. One day, I predict that the American people will be pushed too far.
farm guy September 28, 2012 at 06:07 pm
If you think Obama was left with a mess during his first term, imagine the mess he will be left with if he is elected to a second term.
farm guy September 28, 2012 at 06:11 pm
I have to love these comments. It is never the fault of who is in charge. It is the last guys fault. And if people prove to them that they are wrong, they use the catch phrase, "You all know nothing and must listen to Fox news".
Mike Wright September 28, 2012 at 08:24 pm
Ok, Obama's response to the folks responsible for killing our ambassador:"Gee that video thing was not the US government. Please don't kill anymore of our people" This has been such a feckless response to an overt and premeditated act of aggression, It reminds me of when Carter was in charge. This comes three and a half years after his first tour of the middle east apologizing for our country's involvement in their lives - watch his Cairo speech.
Economic policies - pouring millions of dollars into failing solar energy companies that the government already knew were in precarious financial difficulties. How can you be happy with him giving half a billion dollars to Solyndra only to have the company go out of business 18 months later? Are you really OK with that? Everyone in this country lost more than a dollar apiece with that one debacle (Oh, my mistake, those of us that pay taxes lost TWO dollars apiece). Raising the eligibility to qualify for food stamps all to buy some more Democratic votes from the 47%. Then he has the nerve to say the private sector is doing just fine. Talk about a president that is out of touch
Mike Wright September 28, 2012 at 08:34 pm
If B/C DIDN'T ignore warnings, are you really saying 9/11 wouldn't have happened? I think you must have some serious misconceptions about how our intelligence networks actually work and I never said that Obama knew about the impending attacks, but his response to the attacks is feckless and weak. The intelligence gathering mechanisms will always gather incomplete scenarios and aren't always reliable, but when we get punched in the nose and do nothing about it, that goes directly to the deficit of leadership.
Mike Wright September 28, 2012 at 08:48 pm
First it was all Bush's fault, then it was the Republicans in the House, then it was a do-nothing Congress. We don't need a president that blames everything bad on someone else. That is our job. He should lead. A much better president, Harry Truman, at least had the decency to accept blame for the disasters that happened during his time in office.

loose lips, sink ships. it applies to them snarky DC people as well.
what 'we the people' don't know, may be, in effect, denying the embedded enemy (trust me, they ARE here) access to facts they use for their own benefit. if our own CIA is 'operating' as it should, even the POTUS may well be under more scrutiny than we are availed of. keep your fingers crossed! ;-))
Daniella Ruiz October 3, 2012 at 12:43 pm
no, no, no no, no! the plan is to insert RFID tracking chips into every live human to ensure they are properly taxed in the region they transact business in.
also, being aware of who's where at what time is really handy when deflecting a surge of opponents to the regime. '-)) Woooo Ha Ha Ha!
