Wind Warnings? Flood Watch? Let's Go Jet Skiing!

Goshen Fire Department was called to aid three people who decided to jet ski off Two Tree Island.

On a day that weather forecasters were issuing warnings of coastal flooding and high winds, three people thought it was a good idea to head off shore on jet skis. At about 3:30 p.m. on November 27, firefighters from Goshen Fire Department responded to a 911 call for a jet ski rescue after a father and son attempted to tow to shore a jet ski that was rendered inoperable off Two Tree Island.

According to the New London Day, the woman who made the call was Laura Zerra, a New Hampshire survivalist who appeared in the Discovery Channel's "Naked and Afraid" series. She was out wave riding with friends, son and father both named James Luce, of Quaker Hill. All three were returned safely to shore, albeit slightly cold after their adventure.
