Waterford Police Investigate Apparent Suicide

Police found the body of a young man for whom a neighboring police department had issued an alert yesterday near Jordan Cemetery in Waterford.

A flurry of police activity in the vicinity of Jordan Cemetery near the intersection of Woodlawn Avenue and Boston Post Road in Waterford yesterday afternoon attracted a lot of attention. Waterford Police say they are currently investigating an apparent suicide in the area.

Waterford Police Department had been on the lookout for a vehicle driven by a young man for whom a police department from a neighboring town had issued an alert. A member of the Waterford Police Department located the vehicle and discovered the body of a man, aged 21, nearby. 

Lt. David Burton said Waterford Police are still in the process of notifying family members and are not prepared to identify the man or say which town's police department had initiated the alert at this point.
