Waterford Police Crackdown on Drunk Driving This Holiday Weekend

Waterford Police will be joining other departments with stepped up DUI patrols over the Fourth of July weekend.

Waterford Police have been making a lot of arrests for driving under the influence recently, along with additional arrests for driving violations such as distracted driving. And there's going to be more to come. 

The Waterford Police Department is joining thousands of law enforcement agencies in a nationwide crackdown on driving under the influence violators through the upcoming July 4th Holiday period.  

Waterford Police Department will assign two or three additional Officers on patrol during the 4th of July week, in attempt to make our local roadways safer.

These additional Officers will specifically target DUI Enforcement between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. Speeding and other motor vehicle violations will also be strictly enforced.

State Police Troop E will also be conducting a DUI/Sobriety checkpoint from Saturday night into Sunday morning in the town of Lisbon.

The Waterford Police Department urges all motorists to voluntarily participate in safe responsible motor vehicle operation. Don't drink and drive!
