Waterford Police Arrest Alleged Crystal Mall Peeping Tom

Rhode Island man arrested for allegedly spying on people in Crystal Mall changing rooms.

Monday, Waterford Police arrested a Rhode Island man for allegedly spying on people while they changed in dressing rooms at the Crystal Mall.

Christopher Gribble, 40, of Bradford, R.I., was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, two counts of voyeurism and one count of risk of injury to a minor. Gribble was arrested after allegedly attaching a mini-digital camera to the top of his shoe and putting it under the changing room doors within clothing stores at the Crystal Mall on at least two occasions in September, according to a police press release.

Gribble was identified after police released a surveillance photo of him to several media outlets (including Patch), and police gained several leads as a result of that release. Gribble was released on cash bond pending an October 29th appearance in New London Superior Court.
