'Two Towns, One Thief' — Police After Walmart Shoplifter

Waterford and Groton police are looking for a woman who reportedly stole from Walmart in both towns.

Waterford and Groton police have released an image of a woman who they say stole from Walmart in the two towns.

Last Thursday the suspect stole from Groton Walmart, police said, and on Sunday she hit the Waterford Walmart.

Police said she fled in a gray Chevrolet Cavalier bearing Maine registration 9785RV.

It shouldn't be that difficult, given that you have the state and registration number of the auto, should it?

stolen markers/plates make these crimes very hard to solve. but facial recognition scans can often nab repeat offenders. maybe a profile on the items she lifted could help, and a diligent review of pawns shops, craigs list, ebay, yard sales and other fencing opportunities.
