Two Taken to Hospital After Head-on Crash
Route 85 is still closed by the wreck at the Montville-Salem line
A two-car head-on collision on Route 85 has sent two people by ambulance to Backus Hospital. The names of the people involved are not being released at this time.
The accident at the Montville-Salem line has closed Route 85 in both directions. Traffic is being diverted to back roads, according to Oakdale Fire Chief Gary Murphy.
Oakdale, Chesterfield and Salem fire departments have responded, Murphy said.
