"Spooky Path" Leads Three Girls Astray in Quaker Hill

The girls were following a path on the grounds of Waterford Country School when they lost their way. Waterford Police and members of Waterford Fire Department responded to search for the missing girls, but they turned up safe and sound.

Three girls from Waterford Country School decided to give themselves a bit of a pre-Halloween fright by following a "spooky path" on school grounds in Quaker Hill last night. Things became a bit more frightening when they lost their way in the dark.

As is the school's policy whenever a resident misses curfew or is otherwise unaccounted for, the girls were reported to police as missing at once.

Waterford Police responded, along with Waterford Fire Department when a call for additional manpower went out at about 11:30 p.m. because the school grounds are quite extensive, but the girls were located "in short order, safe and sound," said Waterford Police Sgt. Marc Balestracci.
