Snapping Turtle Happily (Snappily?) Rescued by Waterford Officer

We've heard about emergency personnel rescuing kittens in cars. We've heard about them rescuing kittens from storm drains.

But did you hear the one about the snapping turtle?

Waterford Police Officer Matt Fedor was called to Route One by Stoneheights Drive, for a snapping turtle in the roadway.

"He got it safely out of the way and set it free to live a happy (and snappy) turtle life," the Waterford Police Department wrote on its Facebook page. "Officers get called to all kinds of strange things — another day at 'the office' for Officer Fedor."
