Today, a 25-year-old Quaker Hill man was arrested for unlawful discharge of a firearm and several guns were seized from his home after neighbors complained of gunshots early this morning.
Today, Andrew Malerba, 25, of 6 Cinderella Lane, was charged with breach of peace and unlawful discharge of a firearm. Several guns were also seized from Malerba's home, including handguns, rifles and a shotgun, according to a press release from the Waterford Police Department.
At around 2:17 this morning, the Waterford Emergency Communications Center received multiple complaints from neighbors saying they heard gunshots coming from a home on Cinderella Lane, according to the release. Two hours later, Malerba was taken into custody for allegedly firing guns illegally, and “a number of firearms” were seized from his home, including handguns, rifles and a shotgun, according to the release. A small amount of ammunition was also seized, according to the release.
Malerba was not held on bond and is set to appear in New London Superior Court on January 25th, according to the release.
