The Day is reporting that a Quaker Hill man hit a Connecticut State Trooper in a parked cruiser with his pick-up truck this weekend.
On Sunday at 7:23 p.m., Trooper Robert Desjardin, 48, was inside his police cruiser parked in the breakdown lane on I-395 South in Plainfield when the cruiser was struck by a 2005 Chevy Colorado driven by Sean Cavanaugh, 23, of Quaker Hill, according to The Day. Cavanaugh had a passenger in his pick-up truck, and Cavanaugh, the passenger and Desjardin were taken to The William W. Backus Hospital’s Emergency Care Center in Plainfield, where Desjardin was treated for minor injuries, according to The Day.
The Day reports that the crash is under investigation by police.
