Town Worker Sentenced To 7 Years, Blotter

The following arrest information was supplied by the Waterford Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Nov. 22, 2010, then 52-year-old Scot Chateauneuf of Montville was charged with having a long term sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl, and providing drugs and alcohol to her and her underage friends, according to The Bulletin.

Earlier this week, Chateauneuf, now 53, agreed to 10 years suspended after seven years in prison and 10 years probation, according to The Bulletin. He will also have to register as a sex offender during his probation, The Bulletin said.

Chateauneuf works as a mechanic in the Waterford Public Works Department.

Nov. 14

Luis Gonzalez, 32, of 70 Farmington Ave, New London, was charged at 4:20 p.m. with fourth-degree larceny and attempt to commit a crime. 

Nov. 16

Zachary Bridgham, 20, of 184 Old Colchester Rd, was charged at 10:05 a.m. with a fifth-degree electronic crime: unauthorized access/misuse with fraudulent intent.

Nov. 17

David Olmeda, 25, of 129 Elm St, New London, was charged at 6:20 p.m. with misuse of plates, driving a motor vehicle when registration or license is refused/suspended/revoked and driving an unregistered motor vehicle.

One person was arrested on Nov. 15 for sixth-degree larceny and issuing a bad check.

One person was arrested on Nov. 16 to second-degree failure to appear in court.

Two people was arrested on Nov. 17 for disorderly conduct.
