Police Blotter: Road Closures And A Motor Vehicle Theft

In case you were curious, downed wires and a fire in the road closed Route 85 at Broad Street and Phillips Street from about 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. yesterday. This morning things should be back to normal, although keep an eye out for construction on Route 85 close to Salem. Here's what else has been keeping Waterford Police Department busy:

Paul Martin, DOB 5/31/92, of 110 George Street, Somerset, Mass., was charged with larceny in the third degree (motor vehicle theft), using a motor vehicle without the owner's permission, larceny in the 6th degree (shoplifting), interfering with an officer, and breach of peace.
September 8, 2013
Samuel Powell, DOB 9/21/90, of 154 Anita Avenue, Waterford, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
Eric Malloy, DOB 5/31/63, of 73 Hempstead Street, New London, was charged with larceny in the 6th degree (shoplifting)
September 9, 2013
Justine Gray, DOB 8/8/93, of 242 Nautilus Drive, New London, was charged with failure to appear in the second degree.
